Parks & Recreation
The Village of Twin Lakes offers several parks for residents and visitors to enjoy. In 1997, the Board of Park Commissioners adopted the following mission statement:
To provide attractive and purposeful recreational facilities which will promote the physical, mental, and social well being of residents and visitors, while enhancing the overall quality of life in the Village of Twin Lakes.
Movies in the Park: The 2018 Movies in the Park schedule is below.
Legion Park was originally owned by American Legion Post 544. The park was purchased by the Village in 1973 and now contains a skateboarding park, playground equipment, baseball diamonds, a basketball court, and a restroom.
Millennium Park was constructed in 1999-2002. It is located at Stateline Road and Richmond Park Drive. It contains a pavilion, a soccer/football field, playground equipment, a vending machine, walking trails, sledding, and a restroom. It is the newest Twin Lakes Park.
Lance Park was built on land donated to the Village of Twin Lakes by the Lance family from Kenosha, WI around 1960. The land originally had two summer homes on the site. One was taken down, the other was repaired and made into a Scout House until it burned down in 1968. A new scout house was built in 1969 and remains on the site today.
The site contains basketball hoops, a boat launch, beach, fishing pier, waterfront amphitheater and small stage.
The newly constructed amphitheater in Lance Park is home to the Park Commission’s Movies in the Parks Series and also the home of the Aquanuts Water ski show.
Mueller Park is located off of Sunset Court and Hunt Avenue. It contains playground equipment, sledding, and is landscaped.
