Citizen volunteers play an important role in ongoing success of any municipality. This is no less true for the Village of Twin Lakes. Recently, the Village Board created another opportunity for citizens to become involved and to shape the future of the Village and the surrounding community.
At its meeting on January 23, 2006, the Village Board created the Community Growth Commission as a successor to the Joint Smart Growth Commission that worked with the Town of Randall to draft the area's Comprehensive Plan. The new Community Growth Commission is a seven member body charged with facilitating interpretation, implementation and update of the Comprehensive Plan and monitoring and making recommendations regarding land use, annexation, and other general growth issues. In addition, the Commission would work with a similar body from the Town of Randall as necessary. The Commission is advisory to both the Plan Commission and the Village Board.
Below is the text of Resolution R2006-1-1, the Resolution adopted by the VIllage Board to create this new Commission.
