REFUSE & RECYCLE

******FINAL CLARIFICATION ON REFUSE & RECYCLING*****

GROOT does not officially begin picking up in the Village until next week. Due to the Holiday, next weeks pickups will be Wednesday, Thursday.

ADVANCED DISPOSAL has changed the pickup of old toters from this week to next week. The Village was just notified of this change. Please contact them directly at (800) 248-2373 with any concerns.

REFUSE & RECYCLE NEWS

Groot Industries will begin distribution of the new refuse and recycle toters beginning Monday, December 19th, 2016.  We are asking all residents to bring their  toters up to their house as soon as possible.  Also, if you know your neighbor is an out-of-towner please be kind and bring theirs up to the house too.  Advanced Disposal will be doing their last pick-up on the 27th and 29th of December, and pick-up of those toters to follow.

Public Works also wants to remind residents that garbage and recycle toters need to be removed from the road as soon as they are empty in order to provide for the plow trucks to clean the roads.

TAX BILLS ARE ON THEIR WAY

We have been informed by Kenosha County that tax bills have been mailed.  With the new County-wide  tax program being implemented, please be patient since we are learning this new system as we go.  All payments must be made separately; therefore we will need a separate check for tax payments, sewer payments  and pet licensing.  Payments may be made in person, by mail, or left in the drop box in front of the Village Hall.  First installments are due to the Village by January 31st, 2017 and second installments to Kenosha County by July 31st, 2017.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Hall.
