*** WINTER RULES, REGULATIONS AND REMINDERS***

It looks like Winter may finally arrive in the coming days and we want to remind all residents of the Twin Lakes Village Ordinances relating to snow removal and parking.

Twin Lakes Village Ordinance

10.28.110 Snow Emergency – No person, firm or corporation shall park or be allowed to park any vehicle in any street, road or alley in the Village within a period of forty-eight (48) hours after a two (2) inch or more snowfall.

11.12.010 Obstructing Sidewalks, Alleys, Streets or Roads-It is unlawful to shovel, blow, dump or otherwise place snow in any street, highway or alley right-of-way, including sidewalks.

11.12.020 Snow and Ice – The owner or occupant of every lot or parcel of land abutting a public sidewalk within the Village, shall keep said sidewalk clear of snow and ice and shall remove any snow and ice upon the sidewalk within twenty-four (24) hours after same has been deposited or formed on the sidewalk.

Please do your part and make sure all vehicles are parked well off the roadways and right of ways for at least 48 hours after we receive two or more inches of snow. This allows our hard working snow plow drivers the ability to efficiently and safely clear our roadways. Together we can all make the process of clearing snow safer and easier.

AS ALWAYS SLOW DOWN, BE PREPARED, LISTEN FOR SNOW ALERTS, AND MOST OF ALL BE PATIENT.
